How to Convince Yourself to Take a Break!

In today's world everyone's always on the go. There never seems to be enough hours in the day to get everything accomplished. I know that's what my world is like. How about you, do you have a tough time fitting everything in?

We have family demands, job stress to deal with, hobbies - the list goes on and on. Sure there are some people who drift through life without a care in the world. Everything seems to come easy, and nothing stresses them out. I am definitely not one of these people! I wish I could be, but I'm not.

For the rest of us the demands of daily life never seem to get any easier. So what do we do about it? We need to learn to compartmentalize things. Focus on one thing at a time, and put other stuff aside. 

One of the things we need to all plan for in our day is the need to take a break! That's right, I'm suggesting you schedule yourself some break time. With everything going on in our lives we never seem to take some time to relax.

I don't know about you, but this concept is hard for me. I keep thinking to myself, shouldn't I be getting something done???  Well it's time to change that mindset. Scheduling me time is vital for our health and well being. 

It doesn't have to be a long time. Thirty minutes of relaxation will do wonders to recharge our batteries. Think about the stressful day you just had. Work was a nightmare, the kids are sick, and your parents want  you to go by to paint their living room. 

Force yourself to take thirty minutes for you. Take a long bath, or a long walk. Whatever. Just take the time. You will be so much more mentally alert once you do! What do you do to get away from life's stress for awhile?
